AP 18 Gazelle Wins Bronze Medals at USA Nationals
6 AP Teams Finish Top 11 at Nationals
5 AP Players Named All-Americans
AP 18 Gazelle finished 8-1 at USA Nationals to claim 3rd place overall, losing only to the eventual champion in an extremely close 15-13 game 3 in the semifinals. In addition to winning bronze medals, AP 18 Gazelle players Hope Lemon, Brenna Lyles and Amanda Schlegel were all named as 18 USA All-Americans.
AP 15 PHD finished 5th overall at USA Nationals and Autumn Rounsaville was named to the 15 USA All-American team.
AP 14 Samurai, AP 16 Black Mamba and AP 17 Eclectic each all finished 11th overall at USA Nationals.
AP 14 Juggernaut finished 5th overall in the Classic division at AAU Nationals and Nicole Dobos was named to the AAU All-American team.

AP 13 Puma & AP 17 Eclectic Earn Bids at Regionals
9 AP Teams Finish Top 10 at Lone Star Regionals
AP 13 Puma and AP 17 Eclectic both finished 6th place overall at Lone Star Regionals and each earned an American bid to the 2013 USA Junior Nationals. 4 AP teams previously earned USA bids at National Qualifiers bringing the total AP teams to 6 that will compete at USA Junior Nationals this summer.
AP 12 Kiraly and AP 18 Stealth both finished 9th overall in the bid division of Lone Star Regionals.
AP 14 Samurai is Lone Star Region Champions playing up in 15 Non-Bid and finished with a perfect 7-0 match record.
AP 16 Black Mamba is Lone Star Region Champions playing up in 18 Non-Bid and finished with a perfect 5-0 match record.
AP 15 PHD finished with a 6-1 match record and became the Lone Star Region Runner-Up playing up in 17 Non-Bid. AP 14 Juggernaut went 6-1 and became the Lone Star Region Runner-Up in 14 Non-Bid. AP 15 Clutch also finished in the top 10 at Lone Star Regionals with a 9th place finish in 15 Non-Bid.

AP 18 Gazelle went a perfect 9-0 over the 3 days of the Lone Star Classic National Qualifier in Dallas to capture the Qualifier championship and gold medals. With the win, AP 18 Gazelle earned a USA bid to the 2013 USA Junior National Championships.
AP 11 Mini Mambas traveled to Dallas to participate in their first ever national qualifier. The team finished with a 6-1 match record and captured 2nd place overall earning silver medals at the Lone Star Classic.
AP 12 Kiraly finished 7-1 and earned a 5th place overall finish at the Lone Star Classic National Qualifier in Dallas.
AP 18 Stealth made their way to the gold bracket and finished 9th overall.

AP 15 PHD went a perfect 9-0 over the 3 days of the Lone Star Classic National Qualifier in Dallas to capture the Qualifier championship and gold medals. With the win, AP 15 PHD earned a USA bid to the 2013 USA Junior National Championships.
AP 18 Stealth traveled to Kansas City for the Show Me National Qualifier, where they made their way to the gold bracket and finished 5th overall.
AP 15 Surge played in the Lone Star Classic where they earned their way in to the gold bracket and finished in 9th place overall with a 7-2 match record.

3 More AP Teams Finish Top 10 at National Qualifiers
AP 18 Stealth and AP 17 Viper both traveled to Atlanta, Georgia for the Big South National Qualifier on March 29-31. AP 18 Stealth finished with a 7-1 record, earning their way in to the gold bracket, and finishing 5th overall. AP 17 Viper also made their way in to the gold bracket where they finished 9th overall.
AP 17 Eclectic traveled to Spokane, Washington for the Pacific Northwest Qualifier on March 29-31. AP 17 Eclectic finished 6th overall in the 17 Open division.

AP 17 Tsunami and AP 14 Juggernaut both earned tournament championships and brought home gold medals. AP 16 Mongoose made their way to another tournament final and brought home silver medals. With these wins, 19 different AP teams have now won a tournament or had an undefeated weekend this season!

AP 14 Samurai Wins Pacific Northwest Qualifier!
AP 14 Samurai and AP 16 Black Mamba traveled to Spokane, Washington for the Pacific Northwest Qualifier on March 22-24. AP 14 Samurai finished with a perfect 9-0 match record and pulled off clutch 3-set wins in both the semis and finals. AP 14 Samurai won the Pacific Northwest Qualifier and earned a USA bid to USA Junior Nationals.
AP 16 Black Mamba finished with a 9-1 match record over the 3-day tournament. AP 16 Black Mamba earned their way to the finals and finished 2nd overall capturing a USA bid to USA Junior Nationals.

2 AP Teams Win Tournaments
AP 15 PHD traveled to Indianapolis for the Mideast National Qualifier, where they finished 8-1 over the 3 days and earned a 5th place finish out of the 100 team field.
AP 13 Stingers and AP 18 Stealth each earned gold medals as they captured their respective tournament championships.

2 Weekends of Spring Break Bring Travel & Success
AP 14 Thunder - Top Ten in Colorado
9 Top 10 Finishes in Houston
Many AP teams playing over spring break from Austin to Houston to Vegas and Colorado. During the first weekend of Spring Break (March 8-10), 4 AP teams traveled to Vegas for the SoCal National Qualifier and AP 14 Thunder went to Denver for the Colorado Crossroads National Qualifier. AP 14 Thunder had a fantastic 3 days finishing with a 6-1 match record, earning their way in to the gold bracket, where they finished 9th out of more than 115 teams.
In Vegas, AP 15 Surge finished 17th out of more than 95 teams and AP 17 Tsunami finished 17th out of more than 50 teams. Also in Vegas, AP 16 Spartans finished 23rd out of more than 130 teams and AP 18 Gazelle finished 26th in 18 Open.
On the second weekend of spring break, 22 AP teams traveled to Houston for the Cross Court Classic and Tour of Texas finals. 5 AP teams had previously qualified for the Tour of Texas and were competing in the finals. AP 15 PHD finished 8th. AP 18 Gazelle finished 12th. AP 17 Eclectic and AP 13 Puma both finished 13th, and AP 14 Samurai finished 23rd.
In the Cross Court Classic, AP teams had 8 top 10 finishes. AP 14 Juggernaut was 5-1 and finished 3rd out of 70+ teams. AP 15 Surge finished 5th out of 32 teams in the 15 Elite division. AP 17 Tsunami finished 5th out of 48 teams. AP 12 Kiraly was 4-1 and finished 7th out of more than 70 teams. AP 15 Cheetah also finished 7th out of more than 70 teams. AP 16 Black Mamba finished 9th out of 24 in 16 Open. AP 16 Spartans finished 9th out of 48 with a 5-1 record in 16 Elite, and AP 16 Momentum finished 9th out of 64 in 16 Club. AP 14 Thunder finished 14th out of 48 in 14 Elite, and AP 18 Stealth also took 14th out of the 48 teams in the 18s division.

4 AP Teams Win Tournaments or Have Perfect Weekends
AP 15 PHD Finishes 3rd in 17s Tournament
AP 11 Mini Mambas played up in the 12s division and won gold in two different tournaments this past weekend. They became the first AP team in 2013 to play in two different tournaments in the same weekend and win both of them. With the 2 back to back tournament championships, AP 11 Mini Mambas has now won 3 straight tournaments playing up in the 12s division. AP 16 Mongoose was a perfect 4-0 and won the Military Appreciation tournament. AP 13 Flyers was a perfect 4-0 in matches and 8-0 in games as they also won tournament gold. AP 13 Puma also had a perfect weekend as the team went 3-0 in matches and 9-0 in games. AP 15 PHD played up in the 17s division of their 1-day tournament and finished 3rd overall.

2 AP Teams Win Playing Up An Age Division
AP 17 Eclectic won gold with a perfect 5-0 match and 10-0 games record in the 2-day Volleyball Showcase tournament playing up in the 18s division. AP 11 Mini Mambas also finished with a perfect record and won a tournament playing up in the 12s division. AP 15 Surge and AP 15 Legacy also each won their tournaments, and AP 13 Flyers had a perfect undefeated weekend. AP 15 Clutch made it to the finals and won silver.

2 AP Teams Win Gold on Presidents Day Weekend
AP 16 Black Mamba played up in the 17s division of the 2-day Presidents Day Challenge and finished with a perfect 6-0 match and 12-0 games record as they captured gold medals. AP 18 Stealth also won the 2-day Presidents Day Challenge, finishing with a perfect 7-0 match and 14-0 games record. AP 17 Tsunami made the 17s division of the Presidents Day Challenge an all-AP final, as they finished 5-1 and earned silver medals. AP 15 PHD finished 3rd out of 45+ teams in the 2-day ATX Showcase with a 6-1 match record.

AP 15 PHD - Top 5 at Tour of Texas Dallas Stop
AP 14 Thunder, AP 16 Momentum & AP 15 Surge all had undefeated weekends and captured tournament championships. AP 15 PHD finished 5th overall in division 1 at the Tour of Texas Dallas stop, which earns them the right to compete in the top 8 at the final Tour stop and pre-qualifies them for the 2014 Tour of Texas. AP 16 Black Mamba finished 3rd overall in the 2-day 16 Open division of Texas Fest. AP 13 Eagles won their pool, finished 2nd overall and earned silver medals.

4 AP Teams Have Perfect Weekends - 2 AP Teams Win Tournament Playing Up
AP 15 PHD went a perfect 4-0 in matches and 8-0 in sets playing up in a 16s tournament, capturing a 16s tournament championship. AP 16 Black Mamba also played up an age division and won a tournament. Black Mambas went 4-0 in matches and 8-0 in sets in a 17s tournament. AP 18 Gazelle also had a perfect weekend and captured another tournament championship. AP 15 Cheetah played in the 1st stop of the Central TX Power League and had an undefeated 3-0 record in matches and 6-0 in sets.

AP 18 Gazelle Finishes 3rd Overall at First Tour Stop, 5 AP Teams Earn Division 1 at Tour of Texas
AP 18 Gazelle, who was pre-qualified for the Tour of Texas, finished with an impressive 4-1 match record in division 1 at the 1st Tour Stop, earning a 3rd place overall finish. AP 17 Eclectic was a perfect 8-0 in matches to earn one of the top 4 qualifying spots out of more than 70 teams. Eclectic earned the right to participate in division 1 at the next Tour stop. AP 13 Puma qualified for division 1 of the Tour of Texas by finishing in the top 16 out of the 58 team field. Puma had a 5-2 record over the 2-days. AP 14 Samurai and AP 15 PHD, who were both pre-qualified for the Tour of Texas, each finished 9th overall in division one of the 1st Tour stop.
AP 14 Juggernaut finished 5th out of 20 teams in the 3-day MLK tournament. Juggernaut compiled a 7-1 match record over the 3 days.

AP 17 Eclectic Wins Tournament, 6 AP Teams Win Silver
AP 17 Eclectic was a perfect 4-0 in matches and 8-0 in games, as they cruised to their 2nd tournament championship of the season.
AP 13 Pumas, AP 13 Eagles, AP 13 Stingers, AP 15 Clutch, AP 16 Spartans and AP 16 Momentum all won their pools and made it the finals, where they each earned silver medals.

AP 14 Samurai played on the first weekend of 2013 where they finished with a perfect 4-0 match record and 8-0 games record. This is AP 14 Samurai's 2nd tournament of the season, and the 2nd time the team has captured tournament gold.

5 AP Teams Start Season With Tournament Championships
4 AP 15s teams finished 1st or 2nd in their first tournament. AP 15 PHD and AP 15 Cheetah met in the finals of the 15 Green division of Mistletoe Madness, while AP 15 Surge and AP 15 Legacy met in the finals of the 15 Red & White division of Mistletoe Madness. AP 15 PHD & AP 15 Surge earned gold medals
while AP 15 Cheetah and AP 15 Legacy came away with silver medals. AP 16 Black Mamba, AP 17 Eclectic & AP 18 Gazelle all won their divisions of Mistletoe Madness, and each brought home gold medals. AP 13 Puma finished 2nd overall, while AP 16 Spartans, AP 17 Tsunami & AP 18 Stealth each finished 3rd.
