LOCAL JUNIOR VOLLEYBALL CLUB FORGES PARTNERSHIP WITH NEW DIRECTOR
AUSTIN, TX JULY 19,2017–Austin Performance Volleyball has namedLindsay Rosenthal as its newest Director.Austin Performance Volleyball was founded in 2008 by Michael Kane, Denver Lee, and Lee Grisham. Michael Kane has coached club for 20 years. He has also coached high school volleyball for 20 years-appearing in 19 consecutive playoff appearances with 5 state championships. He prides himself on working closely with his athletes to help them see their full potential, having over 50 athletes go on to play in college. Denver Lee has coached for over 20 years. He has a passion for coaching younger ages with a focus on having fun while learning great technique. Lee Grisham has over 30 years of coaching dominance. His outstanding career includes 6 state championships and several USAV national championship appearances.
Lindsay Rosenthal played high school volleyball at Austin High; playing on its only state championship team. She played club volleyball at Austin Junior Volleyball. She was a four-year starter and captain at the University of Notre Dame. She returned to Notre Dame to coach under head coach Debbie Brown. In 2005, she received her law degree from Seton Hall University. For 10 years, she and her husband owned 1379 Sports, a local athletic apparel and footwear shop for families. She has played professional beach volleyball and continues to coach both indoor and beach volleyball. Lindsay and her husband, Mike, have four very active kids. With their new partnership, Kane, Lee, Grisham, and Rosenthal are excited to focus on coaching quality, beach volleyball development, and having the highest-quality camps, clinics, and club teams in Austin.
Rosenthal is also a principal in the Junction Athletic Complex; a world-class, multi-sport complex being developed in southwest Austin. Austin Performance will work closely with the Junction to be an anchor tenant in the development of central Texas’ premier athletic complex.
