Director of Austin Performance Volleyball and Head Coach at Dripping Springs High School, Michael Kane has accomplished many accolades throughout his 23 years of coaching experience. Kane was selected to coach the Lone Star Olympic Development High Performance team in 2004 and 2005. He has qualified nine teams for National Junior Olympic Championships and his 2012 AP 16’s Black Mambas team, finished 3rd overall in the Nation. Through the years, Kane has helped develop and train over 40 Division I, and Collegiate athletes. He has established a State recognized high school volleyball program, while cultivating and maintaining the best in class student-athletes. While in his High School coaching career, Kane has led 5 teams, of various levels, to State Championships. Along with this accomplishment, he has achieved and maintained competitive excellence by appearing in 22 consecutive playoff appearances, and 8 final 4 appearances. All this has been accomplished with over 700 High School career wins, making him one of the most winningest coaches, in Texas Volleyball history. He has been a two time recognized and nominated Central Texas Coach of the Year and he has also been selected to coach TAPPS All-Star Teams in both 2000 and 2004. Most recently he was a TGCA nominated and selected All-Star Coach in 2019. He is a motivational and influential guest speaker at multiple coaching organizations throughout the state. Michael Kane has committed is career to his both High School and Club volleyball programs and his players.
